Good question! Although I considered this, I&#039;ve pushed it back to phase 2 for the following reasons:

  1. There are no mobile shared objects in FL 1.1, so any user selections will only last for the present session.

  2. While it is possible to present a drop-down list of cities and allow users to &quot;check the weather&quot; for locations other than the current 16 cities, this represents a lot more work in terms of producing a comprehensive list that would please everyone.

 However, I am willing to provide a custom .SWF or modify the current set of cities. Perhaps you could suggest your ideal list. Based on some of the blogs I&#039;ve read, it seems that we may need localized versions as well. It would be easy in FL to detect which language the phone was in and provide the city names accordingly ;-)

If we can build some consensus here about which cities (and which languages), there could be a version 2.0 very shortly!
