Haven’t tried it yet but I hear this application provides data about only 10 fixed cities? Would it be possible to expand or change the city list ?

Hi Karmapolis,
Good question! Although I considered this, I’ve pushed it back to phase 2 for the following reasons:

1. There are no mobile shared objects in FL 1.1, so any user selections will only last for the present session.

2. While it is possible to present a drop-down list of cities and allow users to “check the weather” for locations other than the current 16 cities, this represents a lot more work in terms of producing a comprehensive list that would please everyone.

However, I am willing to provide a custom .SWF or modify the current set of cities. Perhaps you could suggest your ideal list. Based on some of the blogs I’ve read, it seems that we may need localized versions as well. It would be easy in FL to detect which language the phone was in and provide the city names accordingly ;-)

If we can build some consensus here about which cities (and which languages), there could be a version 2.0 very shortly!

Thanks for your interest.
